Tulameen Raspberry (Rubus idaeus "Tulameen")--Call for availability

Tulameen Raspberry (Rubus idaeus "Tulameen")--Call for availability

from $5.00

“Tulameen” is another awesome raspberry that starts ripening a few weeks into the season, but it produces for a solid month (versus some summer fruiting varieties that last 2 weeks). Prune outspent canes or wimpy canes each year.

Its berries are HUGE, flavorful, and will hold in a bowl for a day or two, and not just crumble.

Sun: Full Sun to part sun. Raspberries can grow in a good amount of shade, but you also can invite problems by testing this.

Soil: Good, well-draining soil high in organic matter. They love getting a yearly or biyearly mulching. They also will thank you for adding a high-level acidic fertilizer.

Water: Average water needs.

Zones: 5 to 9.

Height/Spread: Several plants are usually planted 18-36” apart in rows 2-3' wide. Canes average 4' to 6' tall.
