Many cherries, plum, slicer, sauce, and beefsteak tomatoes from which to choose.

Sun: Tomatoes thrive in full sun. For healthy growth, tomato plants require at least 8 hours of direct sunlight a day. 

Soil: Fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic soil with a pH between 6.0 and 6.8.

Water: Garden tomatoes typically require 1 to 2 inches of water a week. 

Water newly planted tomatoes well to make sure soil is moist. Early in the growing season, watering plants daily in the morning. As temperatures increase, you might need to water tomato plants twice a day.

Zones: 2 to 11.

Height/Spread:  Tomato vines will grow to a height of 1 to 8 feet and can spread to 4 to 8 feet.
