Hanging white flowers with late summer blue-black berries. Small, leathery leaves turn bronze in fall. Huckleberries are sweet and can be eaten raw or used for cooking. Native to the United States Northwest.   

Sun: Does well everywhere from full sun to deep shade.

Soil: Huckleberries thrive in fairly acidic (4.0 to 6.0 pH), well-drained sandy or loamy soil.

Water: Moderate watering once the seeds start to sprout.

Zone: 4 to 9

Height/Spread: Typically grows 2 feet to 3 feet tall in the sun but up to 10 feet in height if grown in full shade. Mature plants in shaded locations can spread 10 feet wide, especially if the site is moist.
