Comfrey is used as a natural fertilizer. It can be invasive, often spreading freely by means of self-sown seed.

Sun: Comfrey is best grown in an open sunny site, but could use some shade.

Soil: Comfrey tolerates most soils and situations but prefers a moist soil.

Water: Comfrey should receive an average amount of water and prefers to stay consistently moist but not waterlogged. Do not allow it to dry out between waterings.

Zones: 4 to 9.

Height/Spread: Comfrey will grow to be 6 inches to 3 feet tall and up to 4 feet wide.
