Cherry Tree (Prunus spp.)- Multiple Varieties Available

from $40.00

Cherry trees yield delicious fruit used in cooking, baking, and canning and have the added delight of putting on a springtime show of white, fluffy blossoms. Note that it can take 3-5 years for cherry trees to yield fruit.

Sweet cherries are what you usually buy at the grocery store. They have a toothsome texture and a rich, sweet flavor. To be eaten fresh, cooked, frozen, or dried.

Sour cherries are most often used for cooking. Also called tart cherries, they are smaller than sweet varieties.

COMPACT STELLA (Prunus avium) - This unique, self-fertile Cherry should grow to only about 10-12 ft. in height. Compact Stella begins bearing within a year or two after planting and bears large, tasty, almost black fruit.

Sun: At least eight hours of daily sunlight.

Soil: Well-drained, fertile soil.

Water: Soak the ground all around the roots once every 7- to 10-days (or even once every two weeks) is plenty. Take care not to drown the roots.
