Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile)

Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile)

$5.00

Perennial edible flower used for tea. Not as tasty as German chamomile, but it comes back each year.

Sun: Roman chamomile requires full to partial sun. More sun leads to faster growth, but as this plant grows rapidly by nature.

Soil: Chamomile will flower best if in not too rich, organic soil. It will survive in poorer soils, but the stems will be that much floppier. Chamomile prefers a neutral range of between 5.6 and 7.5, but isn’t picky.

Water: Chamomile plants are very drought tolerant, once established. Regular water will keep the plants in bloom longer. In extremely hot climates, keep chamomile watered.

Zones: 4 to 9.

Height/Spread: Roman chamomile will grow 3 to 6 inches tall and spreading to 12 inches wide.
