Sun: Borage grows best in full sun to partial shade. Growing borage plants in full sun will give you the most flowers and the stockiest plants.

Soil: The plants are tolerant of any type of soil, even poor dry soil. However, a sunny location with rich, well-draining soil is optimal.

Water: Borage requires even regular water until established. Once established the soil can dry out between waterings.

Zones: 3 to 10.

Height/Spread: Borage can easily grow to be 3 feet tall and 2 feet wide, so give them room to grow, and let them shade your partial sun plants.
