NW Native.  Small, open branching evergreen shrub grows in well-drained soils in dappled sun to full shade.  Tolerate dryness, prefer protection from wind. Evergreen leaves turn red in fall through spring.  Clusters of yellow flowers. Edible blue-black fruits can be eaten, used as wildlife forage, or for medicinal uses.
